Weddings at the Cathedral

To be married at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, one or both persons of the engaged couple must be a practicing Catholic, and registered at a parish. Both parties must be free to marry in the Catholic Church.
To inquire about scheduling a wedding at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, the parish priest directing the engaged couple’s marriage preparation must contact the Cathedral Rector to schedule the desired date. Non-Cathedral parishioners may schedule a wedding one year before the desired date, but the date will not be confirmed until six months prior. Cathedral parishioners will have priority in choosing wedding dates up to six months before the wedding date of the petitioning couple. For this reason, the date and time of the wedding must be scheduled at the home parish of either the bride or the groom so that the wedding ceremony has a location if the Cathedral cannot be secured.
